2018 National Convention Agenda

We intentionally design our programming to appeal to a variety of preferences and learning styles, so every attendee will learn, bring back actionable takeaways to their team, and be inspired!

A tentative agenda for the 2018 National Convention in Atlanta will be available online on Wednesday, August 8 and available on our Teamworks Convention app during the event, but take a look below at what types of sessions you can expect.

Power Panels

Each day, you can choose from a variety of Power Panel sessions—made up of Women Leaders members and other professionals—who discuss a variety of topics: inclusion, hiring coaches, student-athlete mental health, creating a championship culture, and more. One session during each Power Panel time block is dedicated to Revenue Generation (see below).

Women Leaders TEDx

During the 1:45 p.m. time block on Monday, October 15, choose between four Tedx-style talks: three speakers individually share their perspective on an umbrella topic, with a Q&A at the end.

Breakouts

On Monday, October 15, at 3 p.m., attendees can choose two out of 10 small breakout sessions, which have a distinct conversational feel and cover a variety of content, including negotiation, crisis management, interviewing, financial fitness, and more.

Speciality Power Panels

Revenue Generation Track

Presented by Learfield/Paciolan

As the world of collegiate athletics continues to evolve, it remains critical for athletic administrators to fundraise and have a general understanding of all sources of revenue. Brought to you by two established industry leaders, the Revenue Generation Track will empower attendees to understand how to successfully expand revenue through key relationships, strategic insights, industry trends, digital media, and technology solutions for not only creating new revenue streams,  but increasing existing streams as well. One session during EACH Power Panel time block will be dedicated to Revenue Generation (five sessions total).

About our partners: for more than four decades, Learfield has been deeply rooted in the collegiate athletics landscape and currently manages the multimedia rights and sponsorship initiatives for nearly 130 college properties. Paciolan was founded in 1980 and holds relationships with 120 colleges nationwide.

Executive Leadership Track

This executive-level, one-day program is held in conjunction with the 2018 Women Leaders National Convention on Monday, October 15. It is designed for women at top leadership levels in athletics, business, or entrepreneurship, and is available as a standalone program or for an additional fee with general Convention registration. Instead of attending Power Panels on Monday, Executive Leadership Track attendees will attend separate programming.
