The Associate Director of Compliance will work closely with coaches, student-athletes, the Faculty Athletics Representative, sport administrators, and other Athletics/University administrators on the monitoring of the time management plan for each of the University's 26 intercollegiate athletics programs, per Athletics policy. The Associate Director of Compliance will be responsible for monitoring University compliance with NCAA rules governing time/schedule management, playing seasons, CARA /RARA , foreign tours, sport participation and roster management, Notification of Transfer, and Personnel. In addition, she/he will be expected to assist with the collection of data relative to Bylaw 16 Extra Benefit legislation and in Rules Education efforts. This candidate will represent Notre Dame in the national conversation regarding evaluation of time management legislation and phase 2 of the NCAA project (playing seasons and number of contests). The Associate Director of Compliance will also be responsible for systems and technology for the entire Compliance Office, and for maintaining the Compliance Office web site. Finally, she/he will be the compliance contact for multiple sports and designated personnel.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4 years)
Experience: 3-4 Years Division I Athletics Compliance. Proficient in technology and NCAA legislation. Deep understanding of the elements of a typical student-athlete schedule.
The individual hired for this position must have the following: 1) exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, 2) assertiveness/self-motivation, 3) exceptional organizational skills, 4) professionalism, maturity and confidence (5) experience with technology and social media.
