Job Description 
The College seeks an accomplished collegiate athletics professional who will offer visionary leadership, strong management skills and commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Athletics Administration, Sports Management or related field required; Master’s in Business Administration, Sports Management, J.D. or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience as a successful athletics administrator in college athletics. 
3. Demonstrated success in revenue generating and outreach activities; a proven record as a successful friend, fan and fundraiser.
4. Demonstrated experience in vision setting, strategic planning and long-term goal setting for the athletics program.
5. Ability to balance short-term objectives and long-term institutional vision.
6. Demonstrated experience in budget management and fiscally responsible approach to budgeting.  
7. Demonstrated management experience, including recruitment, selection and evaluation of coaches.  
8. Proven record of outstanding leadership, including demonstrated ability to mentor and support staff. 
9. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and ability to learn and implement Northeast 10-Conference rules and regulations.
10. Understanding of Title IX requirements.
11. Demonstrated commitment to gender equity, diversity and inclusion.
12. Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative partnerships with College administrators and external constituents.
13. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
14. Intermediate level computer skills using MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
15. Experience in sports marketing and brand management is preferred.

The College of Saint Rose announces a national search for the position of Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics. The AVP is responsible for leadership and oversight of the intercollegiate athletics program, including ensuring quality and integrity of varsity sports programs, resource management and revenue acquisition. This position is also responsible for overseeing campus recreation programs. The AVP reports directly to the College President, serves on the President's Cabinet and works with campus leaders to develop and implement athletics program goals in alignment with the College's strategic vision.
