Leadership Enhancement Institute
July 23-July 26, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri
The Leadership Enhancement Institute (LEI) is the premier "level two" leadership development program for women in intercollegiate athletics administration. Open to Women Leaders in College Sports members and graduates of the Institute for Administrative Advancement (formerly NACWAA/HERS), LEI provides advanced educational opportunities, professional development and more in-depth training for women athletic administrators.
The Leadership Enhancement Institute is offered in "even" years, alternating with the Executive Institute, held in "odd" years.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements
Current Women Leaders in College Sports member
- Graduate of the Institute for Administrative Advancement (formerly NACWAA/HERS) OR at least 10 years of full time experience in intercollegiate athletics
- Currently in an Assistant or Associate Athletics Director (or equivalent) level position or higher
- Able to attend the entire week of the Institute
Application and Selection Process
Applications for the 2018 Leadership Enhancement Institute closed on March 23. Class selections are made based on ensuring diversity in age, administrative duties, division and ethnicity. No more than 30 participants are selected to attend LEI.
Tuition fees are $750 per participant and cover all registration fees, lodging and meal expenses. Travel is NOT included.
Thanks to the generous support of the NCAA and Women Leaders in College Sport Foundation Fund, multiple LEI scholarships will be awarded. LEI scholarships for 2018 are closed. Recipients will be notified by April 23, 2018.
