Leadership Enhancement Institute

The Leadership Enhancement Institute (LEI) is the premier "level two" leadership development program for women in intercollegiate athletics administration. Open to mid - senior level Women Leaders in College Sports members. LEI provides advanced educational opportunities, professional development and more in-depth training for women athletic administrators.
LEI 2020 Program Highlights
Highlights of this year’s program include a session with Communication Specialist Angie Bennett from Dardis Communications, a session (includes new book) on negotiation with Mori Taheripour, author and faculty at Wharton School of Business, and a comprehensive workshop on Sports Supervision. Take advantage of the opportunity to grow as a leader, expand your network and position yourself to add value to your organization!

Applicant Eligibility Requirements
Current Women Leaders in College Sports member
- Minimum of 8 full-time years of experience in intercollegiate athletics
- At least 1 year of sport supervision OR staff oversight
- Currently in an Assistant or Associate Athletics Director (or equivalent) level position or higher.
- Looking to advance into a senior level executive role within 1-3 years
- Able to participate in the entire week of the Institute
Application and Selection Process
Application Opens: February 24, 2020
Application Deadline: April 19, 2020
Class selections are made based on ensuring diversity in age, administrative duties, division and ethnicity. No more than 30 participants are selected to attend LEI.

Tuition fees are $300 per participant and cover all registration fees, program materials, training, and 4 days of dynamic programming.
The Brenda Weare Scholarship will be awarded to a current Women Leaders in College Sports members in need of financial assistance and who demonstrates one or more of the qualities of Brenda Weare: courage, fearlessness, a strong work ethic, conviction, integrity, perseverance, sincerity, vision, and outstanding leadership.
The Brenda Weare Scholarship deadline is April 19,2020.
