Val is one of the very few people to hold leadership positions in both men’s and women’s sports at the collegiate, professional, national and international levels – a truly remarkable leader!  Throughout her career, Val was no stranger to being the only woman in the room – from her time in a New York City law firm to the NBA and even now as the Commissioner of the Big East, Val has thoughtfully and strategically navigated the male dominated industry of sports by building quality relationships and doing great work to prepare her for the next opportunity.
