ROLE of the POSITION
This position is responsible for the organization, supervision, and management of all aspects of the volleyball program. This includes: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success and graduation from UNLV; coaching student-athletes to successfully compete at the highest level nationally and within the conference; ensuring compliance with NCAA, MWC, and University rules and regulations; scheduling; practice; training, development and conditioning; budget management; hiring and supervising assistant coaches and other staff as required and other duties as assigned. The Head Coach must maintain professional conduct, positive sportsmanship, project the core values of the UNLV Athletic Department and possess a commitment to student-athlete development and professional/personal growth.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and five (5) years related professional experience at the collegiate level or higher is required. Division I level coaching experience preferred. Two years coaching experience may be substituted on a one to one basis with professional player experience.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
