The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Senior Associate Athletics Director reporting directly to the Athletics Director. This position is a key member of the senior leadership team. The major function of this position is to coordinate all facets of Athletics development in collaboration with Development and Alumni Relations, including strategic planning and annual goal setting, budget management and supervising staff. This position is responsible for coordinating all fundraising efforts related to the athletics program’s projects, including capital, making direct contact with potential and known donors, soliciting large gifts and producing development proposals and materials, among other duties.
We are looking for candidates with strong leadership and management skills, the ability to motivate others, someone who is goal oriented and who has strong interpersonal communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree and five years of related professional experience; OR a Master’s Degree and three years of related professional experience.
Related Experience: In any one or a combination of fields of business, marketing, management, fundraising or related field along with athletics administration
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Attend athletic events and other University events as necessary, which may include travel, nights and weekends.
