Job Description
The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks a Director for its growing Sports Law & Business (SLB) Program. Founded in 2014, SLB has expanded over the past several years to include a master's degree (MSLB), a Juris Doctor (JD) concentration in Sports Law & Business, a concurrent JD-MSLB degree, and a hybrid online/on ground Veteran's Sports Law & Business (VSLB) program. The SLB Program works closely with ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business, the University's athletics department (Sun Devil Athletics), and the Global Sport Institute (GSI). The successful candidate will serve in a management role in the department, with the responsibility of supervising and running the day-to-day functions of the SLB Program and assisting with strategic planning to ensure its continued success and future growth.

Employer Information
The College of Law has partnered with the W. P. Carey School of Business and Sun Devil Athletics to offer the various Sports Law and Business degrees as part of its Sports Law and Business program, the only graduate program in the United States that combines sports law, business, and athletics to prepare a generation of problem-solvers to work in sports, entertainment, and related industries.  Graduates are equipped to understand the regulatory, revenue, and branding forces at work in the sports industry, nationally and globally, and are prepared to solve problems arising in the industry.  Students may start the program in the fall or spring term.

As part of this program, national and international speakers regularly present on campus.  Students are also able to take advantage of major conferences involving industry leaders.  Given the number of significant sports-related events occurring in the Phoenix area, students are often able to work on projects directly related to events such as the Fiesta Bowl, the Final Four, and the Phoenix Open.  Students are also able to participate in annual events with Sun Devil Athletics, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Suns, and others, where they are able to interact directly with leaders working in the industry.
