Assistant Ticket Manager - Sales

Brown University invites applicants for an Assistant Ticket Manager - Sales. This position will provide support to the Assistant Director of Athletics – Marketing & Ticketing, specifically in the area of Ticket Sales (compliance, security, customer service, cash-handling – accounting, and reconciliation & reporting, assuring timely and accurate deposits). The position will also serve as Ticket Supervisor for select paid athletic events and will manage event workers at athletic contests (student & seasonal staff).
All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Athletic Department).
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years' related work experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management protocols.
Knowledge or experience with collegiate athletics.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and ability/willingness to learn new systems as required.
Prior online ticket system experience preferred; Familiarity with NeuLion Ticketing Software preferred.
Strong customer relation skills.
Knowledge of Mac and PC systems.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and credit check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
