Job Description
Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Yale University to lead the recruitment of its next Director of Athletics to replace Thomas Beckett, who will be retiring after 24 years of leading Bulldog Athletics. Yale University is a private Ivy League research university in New Haven, Connecticut. Founded in 1701, it is the third-oldest institution of education in the United States and one of the nine Colonial Colleges chartered before the American Revolution. Boasting 33 varsity sports and over 900 student athletes, Yale has averaged more than 10 nationally ranked teams each year and has won national championships in men’s hockey, men’s and women’s squash, sailing, and rowing. Yale has an active alumni supporting all sports which contributes to the success of the program. Yale was also the first university in the United States to adopt a mascot, and to this date, none is better known than Handsome Dan.
