Community Partnerships Coordinator

Towson University is accepting applications for a Community Partnerships Coordinator in the Department of Athletics. This position develops reciprocal relationships within campus and community aligned along our Thematic Lines-of-Effort; which can include; Baltimore-Towson University (BTU) Initiative, Educators Appreciation, Healthcare Professionals Appreciation, Youth Engagement & support to Admissions, First Responder Appreciation and Military Appreciation. Additional efforts include Autism Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness. Collaborate within Athletics with Game Day Operations, ticket sales & operations, media relations, Tiger Sports Network, Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) and the Total Tiger Program. Collaborate within the University to integrate student groups, community engagement, and alumni affairs. Thematic partnerships are assessed on attendance, revenue generation and increase of TAF participants.
The Community Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing reciprocal relationships within campus and community with thematic lines of effort to increase attendance at ticketed athletic events. Plan & executive community engagement linked to reciprocal relationships partner organizations. Coordinate with Assistant Athletic Director for the Total Tiger Program to plan and execute community service linked to reciprocal relationships with partner organizations. Manage budget for community partnerships along thematic lines of effort. Attend civic events in an effort to create reciprocal relationships and assist in coordination of annual staff outreach community program. Assist the Deputy AD for External and Assistant AD for Game Day Experience in developing unified marketing campaign with partners in support and enticing fans to experience the game-day environment of Unitas Stadium and SECU arena. Work both internally within athletics and externally in coordination with University Marketing & Communications.
Bachelor's Degree and some experience working in developing relationships with community organizations and/or project management experience. Ability to build reciprocal relationships with community organizations aligned with Athletic Department's thematic lines-of-effort for community partners. Strong communications skills, experience in problem solving, understanding of project management principles, positive interpersonal skills, commitment to student-athlete experiences through community service, ability to work well with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members, respect for sensitive and confidential information, ability to respond positively to feedback and advise corrective measures, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines, adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.
Master's degree and experience as a student-athlete and/or significant community service experience preferred.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
