High School Girls' Leadership Academy
The High School Girls Leadership Academy empowers young women in the Kansas City area to grow as leaders, thrive as athletes, lead confidently, and win in life. The first annual event was held last year on March 24th and had 43 participants from twenty-four local Kansas City high schools.
The following are the topics & speakers for 2019:
1. Winning Attitude
Speaker: Jan Madlock, Teacher & Head Volleyball Coach, Bonner Springs High School
2. Power Relationships
Speaker: Patti Phillips, CEO, Women Leaders in College Sports
3. The Athlete Mindset
Speaker: Hailee Bland Walsh, Owner & Founder, City Gym
