Rising Stars Spotlights: LaDerica Paul and Carly Towers

LaDerica Paul

 

Paul began her career in athletics at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi as a women's basketball graduate assistant following her playing career for the same institution. Paul assisted in coaching the program to its first Southland Conference Regular Season Championship/ She then was named Assistant Women's basketball coach at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While assisting in coaching the team, she also worked in the Department of Athletics Operations Assistant, Game Day Operations Manager and Corporate Sponsorship Assistant working closely with the Athletic Director. During the 2021-22 season Paul joined the Pioneers coaching staff as a coaching assistant. LaDerica currently serves as the Playmaker College Basketball Director and Site Manager for Point Guard College. 

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2019 and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management in 2020, both from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. LaDerica plans to pursue a second Master's Degree in Sport Leadership with a concentration in Sports Psychology.

 

 

Carly Towers

 

Towers is an Account Executive for Altius Sports Partners, a leading firm delivering strategic solutions on NIL and the shifting collegiate athletics landscape. In this role, she serves as a day-to-day contact for over ten Power 5 athletics departments overseeing client relationships, ensuring strategic outcomes, and working directly with athletic directors, administrators, coaches and athletes across the country. Carly has been with Altius for two years, beginning as a Client Services Coordinator and elevating to Account Executive in June 2021. She is a former Division I athlete from Dartmouth College where she served as team captain for the women's volleyball team there. Carly also spent time at the NFLPA, the Orlando Magic, and in the Dartmouth Athletics fundraising and external relations departments.
