Women Leaders in College Sports National Convention – October 8-10, 2017: Join Us!
This three-day conference provides the best-in-class leadership development and career advancement programming. Focused learning and growth opportunities including general sessions, breakouts, TED-style talks, roundtable sessions and an executive leadership track. Discounted registration to the Women Leaders in College Sports National Convention is available to all members.
The Women Leaders in College Sports Advancement Initiative is a highly sought after resource for members. The initiative includes the popular Career Road Map, a checklist providing a straightforward guide and access to the best leadership education, development and networking opportunities in intercollegiate athletics. For members early in their careers, our Rising Stars program assists young professionals in identifying and utilizing skills to strengthen their brand and be more intentional about their development. Members also have access to the Women Leaders Job Link. This portal allows members who are qualified and ready to advance into mid-level and management athletics positions an opportunity to upload their resume to be considered for position searches. For high-level women ready to advance into athletic director, conference commissioner or CEO positions in the next 3-5 years, join the Candidate List to stay apprised of industry opportunities, tell us your career interests and identify future opportunities.
In order to serve the membership at the highest possible level, Women Leaders offers a wide range of educational programming, professional development seminars, and networking opportunities to all members, at all career levels. Grant and scholarship opportunities to Women Leaders in College Sports programming and events are available to members.
Women of Color (WOC) Initiative
In partnership with the NCAA Office of Inclusion, Women Leaders launched the Women of Color Initiative to address the needs and barriers women of color experience in relation to access, advancement, and retention in collegiate athletics. As a part of the initiative, Women Leaders hosts bi-monthly Women of Color Chats featuring special guests who address relevant industry topics.
Engage & Connect
Our Member Circles further strengthen the presence, talent, and expertise of members and provide greater opportunities for mentoring, skill enhancement, and overall industry impact. Current Circles are comprised of professionals working in specialty groups within athletics, including: development, coaches transitioning to administration, directors of basketball operations, strength & conditioning coaches, Title IX, athletic training, and academics/student-athlete development.
Members have the opportunity to serve on working Women Leaders in College Sports National Committees including Awards, Advancement, and Nominating.
Connect and convene in your own city! Inspired by a Philadelphia-area group of Women Leaders in College Sports members, we assist members in cultivating communities of support and engagement in their region through Happy Hours.
