Women Leaders in College Sports Hires Cori Pinkett as Director of Leadership & Education

Kansas City, Mo. — Women Leaders in College Sports (formerly NACWAA), the nation’s premier women’s athletic leadership association, has announced the hiring of Cori Pinkett as Director of Leadership & Education.

Pinkett started on February 27, 2017 and will be responsible for the organization’s application processes, curriculum development, and educational programming for the NCAA/Women Leaders in College Sports leadership institutes: Women’s Leadership Symposium, Institute for Administrative AdvancementLeadership Enhancement Institute, and Executive Institute, as well as the Women Leaders 2017National Convention, which will be held in Dallas, October 8-10, 2017. Pinkett will also oversee managing Women Leaders’ grant renewals, mentor program, Educational & Professional Development Committee, among other duties.

Pinkett comes to the Women Leaders team from K-State Athletics after serving three and a half years as the Director of Student-Athlete Development. In this role, she equipped student athletes to lead successful lives through holistic programming in the areas of personal, leadership, and career development as well as community engagement. Pinkett has served as a facilitator at the NCAA’s Leadership Forum, is a graduate of the NCAA Leadership Institute, and is the Chair-Elect for the N4A Student-Athlete Development Committee. She got her start at the University of Central Florida as an Assistant Director of Student Services.
