Kyra Kendrick

Senior Director of Membership Engagement

Kyra Kendrick joined the Women Leaders in Sports staff in May 2021.  She currently oversees member relations and engagement for the organization while also driving membership initiatives including Member Circles, the annual mentorship program, and member happy hour events.  Kendrick also facilitates member engagement initiatives through Career Connect and the Executive Insider Newsletter. 

She previously worked at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill as the Director of On Campus Recruiting & External Relations for football. Her duties included overseeing the strategic plan for prospective football student-athletes and their families for both unofficial and official visits, junior days, game days and external affairs.

Before joining UNC, she served as the Assistant AD of On Campus Recruiting for football at Indiana University – Bloomington starting April 2019.

Prior to Indiana, Kendrick spent four years at the University of Mississippi serving as an Academic Counselor and as an Assistant Director of On Campus Recruiting, respectively. During this time, she advised football, women’s track & field, and volleyball student-athletes. She also assisted with the summer bridge program and managed eligibility, graduation and APR rates for all three teams. While serving as the Assistant Director, Kendrick coordinated all unofficial and official visits, and aided as the liaison to NFL personnel, the Office of Admissions and Academics. Kendrick also earned her Doctor of Education in Higher Education in 2018 from Ole Miss.

Originally from Louisville, K.Y., Kendrick earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Louisville and her master’s degree in human resource education and leadership development from Louisiana State University.

Nationally, Kendrick is an active member of Women Leaders in Sports and the American Football Coaches Association. She is also a graduate of the Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute, N4A Professional Development Institute and Women Leaders Institute for Administrative Advancement.
